The President’s Challenge is a program of the Office of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition. The Council seeks to expand the availability of quality information regarding physical activity, sports, and good nutrition and to empower Americans of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to adopt a healthy lifestyle through:
Regular physical activity
Participation in sports
Co-chaired by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Olympic gymnast Dominique Dawes, the Council includes pro and Olympic athletes, fitness professionals, doctors, and other healthy living experts and advocates. Council members advise the President of the United States through the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Dr. Shahrokh Shahverdi, known to his patients and friends as Dr. Shu, has lived in northern Virginia since 1977. He attended Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA. His college studies include an Associate's Degree in Science and Arts from NVCC, Bachelor's in Sports Medicine/ Exercise Physiology and a minor in Religion and Philosophy from Old Dominion University.
Dr. Shu earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas and his post-doctoral specialty in Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose California.

Dr. Serena M. Satcher brings a wealth of experience in Musculoskeletal Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Occupational Medicine, medical leadership and more recently Functional Medicine to her patients. She earned a degree in medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenneesee in 1989, completed a residency in Internal Medicine New England Deaconess Hospital of Boston (now Beth Israel-Deaconess, a Harvard Medical School Program and Hospital) in 1992 and a second residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois in 1996. She is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Anti-aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine and Integrative and Holistic Medicine. She is also subspecialty boarded in Sports Medicine.

Earth Birth Mothers is a collective, a group of professionals whose passion is to serve us at the most critical stages in the womb and infancy. And so, Neighborhood Studios jumped at the chance to work alongside these ladies as we care for and service the next generation.
